How do they think these things up

OK, so I have nothing exciting going on to speak of. That is if you do not count the flu starting to run through our house, work, kids school, my school, MD's side jobs, his job you know the norm.

So I decided to see what was interesting out in the wide world of the web. I found this site called Improv Everywhere. and they do the wildest things. I found this one video "Frozen Grand Central Station" and the description goes like this; "On a cold Saturday in New York City, the world’s largest train station came to a sudden halt. Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station. Over 500,000 people rush through Grand Central every day, but today, things slowed down just a bit as commuters and tourists alike stopped to notice what was happening around them".

Now watch the video.

Lets see what I find tomorrow.

How boring are we?

Birthdays of February done, completed and put to bed!
TAXES are completed, electronically filed, saved! Now just awaiting the payment YEA!
Wrestling season almost over, time at home again.
School is motoring along, studies going well (Egyptology totally rocks!)
That pretty much sums my last two weeks up. Boring hu?
My life in a nut shell.

A Birthday, Charity Dinner, and Gambling

MD and I celabrated his birthday by first attending a Charity Function for the local Boys and Girls Club. We enjoyed dinner, a silent auction, oral auction, balloon prizes and the company of friends and his coworkers.

The 43rd Black tie optional Crystal Ball Valentine Celebration is held to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Charles County. It was a nice event, but I still say these events are for people who have to much money and want to feel better about it. If you have ever been to one you know what I mean.

We then traveled our way to the local casino. MD did not fair very well I will have to say. I on the other hand would have loved to leave about 30 minutes earlier than we did (at that point I had over $450 of the casino's money). By the time I got MD to leave I won $150, but MD lost $300. By the way we were only at the casino MAYBE 1.5 hours. So that was a BIG loss for MD.

Note to self do not gamble with husband around. More profit that way.

Well, it is that time of year again, it tax time. I sit here at my desk going through my duaghter FD's papers and trying to complete her tax returns, then I get the glorious chore of doing mine and MD's mound of paper work for our tax returns. And how did I get this wonderful responsibility you ask......I have no idea, I have always done it, so I guess that when FD started needing her taxes done they just sat on my desk until I did them. You think I should charge MD and FD?
I sit her trying to make sure that I have everything organized (very OCD of me), available, accounted for, and deductions in a row (again very OCD). I have copies of receipts that are easily 16 years old (more OCD and tax man fear). My eyes are burning, an my brain is fried and I have just begun..............................

I still have the start of a research paper to write, books to read (for the paper), a test to study for, a house to clean, groceries to buy, and kids to tend to. My regular 40+ hour a week job may be done but my weekend job is just starting.
If I am not heard from by Sunday, send a search party with coffee and food PLEASE!

Groundhog Predicts More Winter Weather

Brace yourself for more wintry weather. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow Saturday, leading the groundhog to forecast six more weeks of winter.

The snowfall we received late Thursday until Friday Morning (about 8 inches according to my patio furniture) is all melting away already.

Bummer for the kids as they were looking forward to more sledding today.

MD came home Thursday evening and shovled the driveway, then arose at 6:30 am Friday and Shovled again. Then he decided to wake me up and inform me he was driving me to work (sweet hu?). I had originally decided that I would go in a few hours late you know to let the crazies get to work first the it would be smooth sailing for me. But no MD wanted the honor of taking me. But bless his heart how did he think I was going to get home?
Yes, he forgot about me, I called several times to inquire on his arrival time, no answer. Finally at 5pm he calles asking when I was going to get home and whom did I find a ride from. Can you imagine! I guess he never thought most of my office called in for a snow day also. He ended being my ride home.
